lately i have come to realize that many people will walk in and out of your life, but it's the true friends that will leave the footprints in your heart. if you want to handle yourself, all you have to do is use your head, and to handle others, just use your heart. many people in life will betray you at least once, but it's their fault, but if they betray you twice, it's your fault for allowing them to do so. i am not always perfect, nor do i try to be, but the one thing i am perfect at is sticking to who i truely am, and not what others want me to be. people have told me that i have been changing over the years, but to be truely honest, i'm just trying to find who i truely am on the inside. there are very few leaders, and countless numbers of followers, be who you feel comfortable being, and not what others want you to be. yes i've made plenty mistakes in my life, but at least i own up to them, but i've learned from all my bad choices and even though there are some things i can never get back and people who will never be sorry, i'll know better next time to not settle for anything less than i truely deserve. growing up i have always thought that there will be at least one person in this world that will never let me down, but now through those years i've come to realize that one day they probably will. love is one thing us humans live for, but just because someone flirts with you doesn't mean they like you. just because somebody likes you, doesn't mean they want to go out with you. just because somebody wants to go out with you, doesn't mean they love you. just because somebody loves you, doesn't mean they won't hurt you. because people lie, and things change. many people in the world will kill to watch you fall, but keep your head up high and walk away. the hardest part is when one of your closest friends, or so you thought stabs you in the back just to watch you bleed. they go from the friend who was a huge part in your life, to the person you just walk past in the school hallways. it's sad to think that they use to be the one you can turn to, talk about anything and everything, and that the one wrong action threw it all away.
